About the Role
Our Financial Solutions division is active in the space of development and production of savings, investment and retirement products, the transfer and transformation of extreme risks and the development of new or alternative asset classes. In this context, the unit designs and transacts non-traditional business targeting various aspects of corporate finance as well as risk management issues of life insurers (i.e. by means of structured reinsurance and other transactions).
In this context, we are looking for a Credit Structurer to cover inquiries from global life insurance companies. The job involves developing pricing models, structured solutions, and risk assessment analyses with a particular focus on credit risk. This comprises single name counterparty and portfolio credit risk assessments as well as the analysis of highly structured credit risk tranches.
Your responsibilities
Leading role in structuring and pricing tailor-made alternative reinsurance solutions
Managing risk and profitability analyses for savings, investment and retirement products and highly structured reinsurance solutions for those products (in the context of both new product developments and in-force transactions), in particular credit risk analyses of associated asset portfolios
Development of models and procedures for pricing, assessing risk, and deriving P&L forecasts for transactions or portfolios involving derivatives, securities or loans
Underwriting both private debt and structured derivatives, performing high-quality analysis and due diligence
Modelling of the life insurer’s asset portfolios and allocation
Supporting further methodological and technical development of pricing and modelling tools (fixed income derivatives pricing and risk factor simulations)
Developing appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk transfer aspects
Preparing and giving internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required
Being one of the main contact person for sales and originators developing markets and client relationships for any technical aspects related to Credit
Requirements
A post-graduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Physics, or a similar field
More than 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis, pricing or structuring fields
Experience working with quantitative models and stochastic process, ideally with exposure to Credit
Strong knowledge of statistical methods and models: time-series analysis, Generalized Linear models, clustering, predictive analytics and descriptive statistics
Experience in pricing credit derivatives (CDS, CDS swaption, CDO)
Good knowledge of fixed income (bonds, loans, private debt) and structured products (ABS, CLO, RMBS)
Experience in risk factor modelling and simulation is seen an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (including VBA)
Proficiency in programming skills and experienced in model development using modern programing languages (e.g. Python)
Fluent in English; knowledge of another major European language is desirable but not mandatory
Good analytical abilities and high communication skills
Using theoretical knowledge to develop practical, efficient solutions
Creativity and openness towards new approaches; flexibility in relation to a continuously and rapidly changing environment
High personal integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
Ability to produce high quality documentation and presentations
